YUMMY Cake from Bug Club!!

We had such a blast the other night at Bug Club!  I am not sure if it was the great company, the really cool mini book by Teresa Collins that we worked on, or the wine cake; but it sure was fun!! 

I know that we all wanted that recipe from Melanie...so here you go!


Ingredients
For Cake:

1 18.5oz. white cake mix

1 3oz. box blackberry fusion gelatin (black cherry can also be used)

1/2 c. oil

1/2 c. Blackberry wine (Mogen David is recomended)

4 large eggs

For Glaze:

1/2 c margarine or sweet butter- melted

1/2 c blackberry wine

2 c powdered sugar- sifted



To line bottom of bundt pan:

1/2 c chopped pecans

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 12 c bundt pan and sprinkle bottom of pan with 1/2 c pecans. and set aside.


In a large bowl blend the cake mix, box of gelatin (dry), oil, 1/2 c wine and eggs at a low speed for 1 min. Increase speed to med/high and beat for 5 min until mixture is smooth. Pour batter into the bundt pan and bake for 45 min or until the top of the cake is brown and the sides come away from the pan.


While cake is baking, prepare glaze by combining the melted butter and the remaining 1/2 c wine. Gradually stir in the powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth.

Remove the baked cake from the oven. With a long fork cover the entire surface of the cake with deep holes. Pour the glaze over the hot cake. Let it cool in the pan for 1 hour and then invert the cake and serve.

As must of you "hopefully" know....we are in the NEW STORE!  It is SO AWESOME!  (I am even typing this from my office!!  WooHoo!)  I cannot wait for you to stop in and check it out!  Please keep in mind that we are not at 100% yet...there are still lots of little things we want to do, some rearranging that needs to be done, and we are still finding boxes that need to be unpacked, BUT we are open and know that you will still see a HUGE difference from our "old" store.

Well, we have been doing our part to keep UPS and FedEx financially stable!   Pretty much everyday looks like this....

This is a NEW line for us from Jillian Vance!  LOVE the Stamps!  Lots of Great Sentiments...and the DIES....Ohh lala!

My Favorite one has to be the ZIPPER DIE! 



This allows you to create a "zipper" effect they you pull to open!  What a FUN card this makes!!



 Next up...for our Card Makers...the is A BRICK'O CARDS!!  Over 300...yes..3-0-0...PRE-SCORED Cards for...wait for it...$$12.25.  If you do the math, that is 4 CENTS per card!!!!  You're Welcome!!  :)

PUNCHES!!!  We have added about 20 new punch styles too! 

 We got in lots of layering punches, like fancy squares, and snowflakes; as well as new ones to make the Punched Flowers, and silhouetted shapes!  Melanie is using one of the new  punches in the "Bee" Cards class next week and it is BEE-utiful!  :)

Some Great New Products!

LOTS of new stuff in this week!

One would think with CHA being just NEXT MONTH (that is our BIG trade show that we go to, to see the latest and greatest...and buy, buy, buy!) that there wouldn't be too much new stuff coming out now....SO not the case!  Here are just a few of the goodies that we just put out on the shelves!

We R Memory Keepers made an ENTIRE line just for us crafters! 

The newest..."Stamp It!" Magazine/Idea book just arrived yesterday!  If you want us to hold you one, let us know.  I ordered double this time, but they always seem to go so quickly!

 Another new ENTIRE line that we got in is the Bright and Colorful Summer line called "SPLASH" from Little Yellow Bicycle!  The prints are so fun, that you could use them for more than just summer and water pictures!

 AND....are there any Shop Hoppers out there!  Here is our Make-n-Take that we are doing!  We are not only making this stinking cute card...but we are showing you how to use Gamsol to blend your colored pencils!  (Yes, we do have those stamps in stock too!)

 And last but not least...here are a few more glass pendants that have been added!  (We will try to get more baseball ones done soon!)

We LOVE our Accucut Machine...and now we love it even more since we got even more dies!  Remember...you can use our Accucut during crops, FREE Accucut days or any other time for $2-3 per half hour!  We have close to 100 dies ranging in size from 1" up to 12x12 decorate page dies, so you have lots of choices!

I love this new little mini book....oh the possibilities!

HOW CUTE IS THIS LITTLE GUY!  It would be great for basic cards, but also shower invites and announcements!

Pennants are so HOT right now!  You could make one for each holiday to reuse each year!

National Scrapbook Day is My Fav. Day!!!

I {heart} me some NSD deals...and boy do we have some!!!  Melanie and i have spent the entire day putting out new products, building new displays, and marking down items to put them on SALE!!!  We have marked down literally HUNDREDS of items today!!  The clearance section is RESTOCKED~and there is some GREAT stuff back there~ the bargain bins are over flowing with $1 and $2 Deals and the "door buster" deals are tagged and ready to go!

What a AWESOME weekend we had!!

WOW!  We had so much fun around here this past weeekend!  Thank You Tammy Tutterow for refueling my creative mojo!  She had so many great techniques to share with us...that I know that we will  have to have her back again!  (you know it was good when i got to go home inky all wekend!)

This one is mine!  (Hannah's)  I LOVE that we got to pick form different colors so that we could make it our own!!)

This one is Amandas...and she is GIVING it AWAY as a gift!!!  That is one lucky friend she has!
